All courses run for 10 weeks, with one lesson per week.

  • On week 10 we offer an underwater photograph to all Level One babies. This is included in the fee. For higher levels, photo opportunities will be available at the end of the course at a fee
    of £10.00.
  • All courses progress to the next level.
  • Swimbabies has 8 progressive levels to the programme. This will progress to 8 levels of the Swimtots programme, and then on to the Pre-School programme.
  • We have a waiting list system and we give priority to older babies as we always try to start with babies under 6 months of age.
  • We take babies from 8 weeks of age or 8lbs in body weight.
  • We work with one adult to one baby in the pool, and classes have 5-7 babies in a group, depending on the pool you swim at.
  • Lessons are 25 minutes long.
  • Babies do not have to wait until their immunisation programme is complete, but we suggest you do not swim the baby for 4 days after a jab.
  • We do not offer extra lessons if you miss a lesson due to
holidays, but if a child is ill, we will try and rearrange a lesson at
    our discretion.
  • Currently Intensive courses are £55.00. Level 1 is £120.00 (includes nappy change mat and under water photo), £114.00 for level 2 (plus hat) and £112.00 for level 3 upwards. Apart from intensive courses, all others are 10 weeks long.
  • We have 2 venues.

Swimtots

The Swimtots course is aimed at those toddlers that have progressed through all 8 levels of Swimbabies. We introduce the use of buoyancy aids, and try to get the children to think and listen for themselves, promoting social skills and pool safety. By the end of level 8 the children are on average about two and a half years old and should be working their way across the pool unaided with their head out of the water - a fanatastic achievement!

Pre-School Programme

This programme works on developing strokes, life-saving, personal survival, starts and turns.
